Scot-GR 520 is a granulated flux suitable for drossing and cleaning of all types of Aluminium alloys in High Pressure Die Casting Process with the exception of AIMg alloys where even a slight sodium pick-up must be avoided. Scot- Cover GR 520 can be used on medium to low metal temperature such as in high pressure die casting foundries. Skimming is facilitated and metal loss due to Aluminium entrapment in the dross is reduced since Scot-Cover GR 520 produce dry ash-like dross that is easily separated from the liquid metal.
