SCOT-Coveral 5 is used for covering , drossing and cleaning of molten aluminium (mainly scrap). It is an exothermic power used to separate inclusions and oxides and bring them to the top as dross. It is also used as a Covering layer for molten aluminium surface to prevent further oxidation and also for helping reduce slag build up on wall of furnace. Coverflux 5 can be used for all aluminium alloys, except the ones with Mg >1%.
